Adding Featured Areas

Go to

https://www.DOMAIN.com/admin/dynamic_area_pages/featured_areas/

and add the areas they provided***. These can only use location-based data that is available from their MLS board. While not all of the fields are used by all MLS boards the following are the options generally available:

  • Building Name
  • Subdivision
  • Neighborhood
  • City
  • County
  • Region

Once you start typing it will give you the options to select from the dropdown (after at least 3 characters are entered). If for example there is a city and county with the same name verify which the client wants.

***Areas will show in the Featured Areas sections in the order they were added. There is no way to adjust this besides deleting all the areas and re-adding them in the desired order.

Featured Areas in the Sidebar and Secondary Bottom Navigation

The Featured Areas selected will be displayed in the Default Sidebar and the Secondary Bottom Navigation Bar.

For the Default Sidebar, it will still show in the Site Backend (Sitewide Elements > Sidebars > Default Sidebar) but it will not show the Featured Areas to edit just the other sections.

You can work around this by creating another sidebar and replacing the Default Sidebar on the Home Page and any other content pages. This option is for clients that do not want some or all of the Featured Areas in the sidebar on a certain content page.

  • For example, if they want certain areas promoted on the Home Page but they do not want to change the areas they are using in their SEO Fast Track.

Sidebar on the website Editing the sidebar

For the Secondary Bottom Navigation Bar it will no longer show as an option in the Site Backend (Sitewide Elements > Navigation Bars):

If you attempt to add a Secondary Bottom Navigation Bar you will receive the following error:

There is no workaround for replacing this section, the only option is to completely turn off dynamic area pages on the site.

Adding Featured Area Titles

Test the changes

Navigate to the client's site and click through a few options on the dynamic pages to verify that they are functioning.

Send Confirmation Email to Client

Send the templated email below to the client. This is important because they will need to know how to access and update their areas or change verbiage if wanted.

Hello [FIRST NAME],

We have upgraded your site to SEO Fast Track.

The cities and communities you chose as featured areas are both in your Default Sidebar and at the bottom of your pages. As such, the Popular Areas and Market Report sections of your Sidebar can be removed.

If you would like to add additional areas, including cities, communities, and subdivisions, you can add up to 30 at https://www.DOMAIN.com/admin/dynamic_area_pages/featured_areas/

Once a page is visited, it will be listed at https://www.DOMAIN.com/admin/dynamic_area_pages/dynamicpage/ and the content can be edited.

Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else.

Editing Dynamic Pages

Once a Dynamic Page has been viewed on the site it will show in the Site Backend under Pages > Dynamic Area Pages. You can sort the list by "Attribute" to help find the specific pages (attribute will be the main search option that page is using. Ex: county, city, high_school, etc) and then the "Facet Label" will give more information on what specific searches that page is using.

Click on the page to edit:

Page content: This will be the main content on the site. The title is not editable and you cannot add images or source code, only words.

Customize: A red X indicates that the content section of the page is still what was created by the AI. A green checkmark means it has been edited.

Last retrieved at: This will list the last time the data on this page was refreshed, usually the last time it was accessed.

Attribute: The main search option that the page is using. Ex: county, city, high_school, etc

Value: The value of the attribute.

Facet label: Additional search items that will be added to leads that sign up on this page.

Parent attributes: Locations that above the search page in the hierarchy.

  • For example if the page is for a Subdivision the parent attributes will be city, then county, then state (depending on the board and YAML settings)

Saved Searches Applied to Leads from Dynamic Pages

If a lead signs up by clicking on a property on the following page: /listings/subdivision/Piedmont/homes-with-samuell-high-school/

They will assigned a saved search for the subdivision of Piedmont with a selection for Samuell High School.

The search criteria that shows up on the Lead's Page and the description on the "My Saved Searches" page will not include details outside of location and price, but is saved on the search:

General Information About Functionality

On each area page, the premium website builder will generate a list of niche "sub-pages" to promote different segments of their market. These pages showcase popular listings in the market and contain SEO-optimized content. They also use carefully selected long-tail URLs to generate more organic traffic on the website.

Dynamic Area Pages utilize specific data types to develop custom page criteria. Below is a list of the data types that can be used to generate pages, along with common examples:
