Widgets are great for use on external sites. Visitors to these other sites will be able to perform quick searches, discover their homes worth, and contact you through use of these widgets. This will help drive traffic from external sites to the results on your RealGeeks hosted IDX solution.
- Search Widget. For use on older templates.
- New Search Widget. For use on newer templates: Miranda, Miranda Thin, and Molly .
- Seller Leads Widget. Available with the paid Seller Lead Valuation Tool.
- Widgets may not display properly until your site is live as they are linked to your live domain rather than your development domain.
- Double check that the domain, www.yourdomain.com, is set correctly excluding "https://".
- Do not put the code into your header or footer.
- Make sure the width and height are adjusted properly, giving the widgets proper space (the Wide Layout should be at least 340px wide, and the Thin Layout should have at least 240px.
You have two search widgets from which to choose. The search Widget has a fixed width and height. The New Search Widget is responsive to the width of the page/section of which it is being placed.
There are two layouts the widget can generate: wide and thin.
- Wide is optimized for a broad appearance with side by side drop down menus.
- Thin is optimized for a vertical appearance, which can be place in sidebars due to drop downs that are positioned on top of each other.
How to Guide:
Step 1. Click on Search Widget (or New Search Widget) in your Site Backend.
Step 2. Check that the domain is set to your active domain name. You will know this is generating properly if the preview is visible.
Step 3. After tailoring the widget to your liking, click the “Click to Get Code” button.
Step 4. Copy the code from the window that pops up.
Step 5. Paste this code directly into the source of any website.
Wait until your site is live to use this widget.
