These are high-priority tickets and must be dealt with immediately.
When thing go wrong
Symptoms may be:
- property update emails are not being sent
- images are not on a listing
- a particular listing is not showing on the site
- lida4py has failed for a board
- we received an alert email about a board failure
Collect evidence
If client notices the site is not being updated, it helps to get example MLS numbers of listings that should be on the site but are not. We then use this to ask the MLS board why the listing is not in our feed. Sometimes there isn't an actual problem with pulling data from the MLS, but rather the listings is intentionally not in the RETS feed, for reasons such as
- the listing is not supposed to be on the internet,
- the listing is on another feed and the agent has access to some kind of data sharing that doesn't extend to the RETS feed
- we have not yet pulled that property type
If instead, we see that the board is failing with the lida2py tool, for example, we need to save a communication session between us and the MLS board, then pass this on to the MLS board with our request for support from them.
