Review
First, review how to map a board here.
Next, go to the MLS board in rope that the client is on already in rope (http://rope.realgeeks.com/rope/retsboard/).
Also pull up the board that they want to add.
Forms yaml:
First, go through the person's forms yaml to make sure that the fields that are already on their site are on the new board that they want to add (like location fields, property types, and property detail fields). If there is a field that is not on the new board, you will need to remove the field off of their site. After you edit the yaml, do a "Save as" and rename it to use both MLS names. For example for combining Pensacola and Baldwin County, it is bcar_par.yaml.
Fields yaml:
Go through the fields yaml that they have and remove the fields that are not on the new board. "Save as" and rename it the same name as the forms yaml.
Prop yaml:
Create a new page in sublime and open both prop yamls from each mls board. Paste both of them in the new prop yaml and save it the same. (make sure it goes in the prop folder)
Example:
Compare the two boards in the rope (or how many boards they want to add) and make sure that the similar fields have the same id.
For example: if there a field, Carport Spaces, on one board and the id is carportspaces, but on the other MLS board the stories field is called carport_spaces, you will need to add a custom field on one of them to rename it the same as the other board. So if add a custom field on the rope which doesn't have the id carportspaces that looks like this:
After you compare, create a new MCP board: http://mcp.realgeeks.com/admin/mcp/board/. Go to the "Boards" tab.
You can pull up an example combo board on how to fill out the
Also pull up the MCP boards from the MLSs that you are combining.
You will need to add all statuses from both boards in the "
all "Disclaimer Detail"s, "Assign the new yamls for the board and set the "
Save.
Go to your test site in MCP and assign the combo board and yamls to your site to test. If all is well, then you can assign it to the client's site and send out an email similar to this:
Hi <CLIENT>,
We finished mapping the fields for your board combining the data feeds for <MLS> & <OTHER MLS>. Please navigate to your site and check it out.
There were fields that had to be removed because they were not available on the new MLS in our feed.
Let us know if there are specific fields that people searching for properties in your area might want to use. We will then search through your data feed and see if that info is available.
Let us know if you want your homepage or advanced search form defaulted to anything as well. If you want to limit the areas available on your search, send over a list and we will do our best to accommodate you.
You may contact Real Geeks support through our web form at https://realgeeks.com/support or by phone at (844)311-4969 during business hours.
Just a quick note, your images may not be showing up right away but they will load eventually. We look forward to hearing back from you.
Thank you,
