This guide will provide step-by-step instructions on how to add a Tycho Feed to Rope for mapping.
Step 1: Log in to https://feeds.rg-infra.com/admin/
*You must have access to log in. If you don't have login credentials, reach out to Dakota*
Step 2: Click on Web feeds and locate the board that you would like to add to Rope. You can find it by searching for the Board Name or by using the Feed ID. The convention that we use for feed IDs is the original board number for the existing feed with a 6 in front. For example, Bright MLS is 399 as a rets feed. The feed ID will be 6399.
Step 3: Go to rope.realgeeks.com
Step 4: Click on Tycho boards
Step 5: Click Add Tycho Board
*It is a grey button in the top right-hand corner*
Step 6: Fill out the required details.
* Board ID is the feed ID, but instead of putting a 6 in front of the original board number, you put a 5.
* Feed ID is the feed ID from https://feeds.rg-infra.com/admin/. It should always begin with a 6.
* Check Enabled.
* In the Db server dropdown, select propertiesdb1.
* Click Save.
Continuing to use Bright MLS (Board 399) as an example, here is how it should look once you're done:
****Important****
Once you have added the board to Rope, you need to make sure to add the feed_slug
as a custom field. The feed slug is found after clicking on the board at https://feeds.rg-infra.com/admin/. MAKE SURE IT MATCHES. Here is the syntax for that:
That's it! Once you have made this change, you can map it like any other new board.
