Zapier for Outgoing Leads

Use Zapier to send leads from your Real Geeks website to multiple destinations.

You use Zapier by creating zaps. A zap consists of a Trigger (where leads come from) and an Action (where leads go). For outgoing leads, RealGeeks will be the trigger and the action would be any of the 500+ Apps with which Zapier integrates.

There are two RealGeeks triggers, one for leads and another for activities. If you want to send both new leads and new activities, you'll need to create two Zaps- one for each trigger.

Create a Zap

Configure Trigger:

1. Go to your Zapier Dashboard and click the  button

2. Search for and select the Real Geeks Trigger app.

3. Select the trigger. New Lead triggers when a lead signs up on your site. New activity triggers when an existing lead does something on the site such as performing a search or viewing a property.

4. Connect your Real Geeks Account by clicking the    button.

5. Identify this account.  Since we differentiate between Trigger and Action connections we suggest you identify this in the name.  Then press Continue.

6. A new popup will open asking you to login with your Real Geeks account. If you're already authenticated with Real Geeks in your browser you won't see this page and can jump to the next step.

7. After logging into Real Geeks, select Trigger.

8. The account you connected will now show on Zapier's list.  You can edit the name if you would like something more descriptive.

9. Select your site that leads will come from and click continue.

10. Zapier will now test your connection with Real Geeks by fetching a sample. Pick a sample and click continue.

Configure destination:

These steps vary depending on the App for which you are integrating.

1. Select to add an action.

Then find the App. Our example shows how to integrate with Google Spreadsheet.

2. Select the action. The action wanted is to have a row added to the spreadsheet with lead details every time a new lead is created.

3. Authenticate your google account by pressing the    button.

4. Select the spreadsheet. Then select where to map each of the exposed fields.  Should look similar to the below example when complete:

5. Have Zapier test your connection with Google by clicking the    button.

6. Click Finish, then give your Zap a name and turn it on.

Add Filters

Filter messages coming from one App to the other. To send only Buyer leads, filter the leads send only Buyer leads. If you're using the New Activity action from Real Geeks App, consider filtering on activity type.

To do this:

1. Select the Zap you wish to edit from your dashboard.

3. Click on the + sign between your Trigger (Real Geeks) and your Action (Google Spreadsheets), then click Add Filter.

4. Select the field you want to use to filter and set the value.

5. Press the    button and your filter will be created. If you receive an error message, the sample lead Zapier knows about did not match the filter. Don't fret, as you start receiving real leads and activities your filter will be applied.
