New TCPA regulations go into effect on January 27, 2025. These new rules require all companies that contact leads generated to have a specific opt-in for each company. Real Geeks is making changes to our lead capture forms to make sure our clients are in compliance.
For more details about TCPA, review the support article on our external knowledge base: https://support.realgeeks.com/tcpa-one-to-one-rule
What's changing in the product?
Lead capture forms will reference the company name instead of the website. Check out this article to see more details. We will be keeping the FAQ section updated with questions we hear from customers - if you hear something that should be part of an FAQ, let Michael Schmidt via Slack know so he can add it!
Where do the company names that populate on the lead capture form live?
Company names for lenders and agents live in different places.
Agents
The company name for the agent/site owner is pulled from the "Company Name" section in accounts.realgeeks.com/account.
Lenders
The company name for lenders will be pulled from a field in MCP that will be made available for support to update prior to January 27, 2025. HOWEVER, that field is not ready yet. If a customer reaches out and needs to add the company name for their lender, submit it using this form.
Where can a customer/site owner change or add their company name?
They can go to accounts.realgeeks.com, click on profile, and update the company name from there.
Where can a lender change or add their company name?
The site owner will have to reach out to support and request the company name be added and the consent for lender communications to be turned on. For rollout, this will not be self-service, though that may change in the future.
Support will add the lender company name to a field in MCP when it is released. This doc will be updated when that happens. In the meantime, submit lender companies names here.
