Is someone bugging you about how slow their site is?
IF SO, WORRY NOT MY PEEPS~ Google's site isn't so fast either. We design our site to be as quick as possible while still being dynamic and functional. google.com doesn't even score 100 with site speed tools.
Take a look at the client's site and see what kind of things they got going on.
Common reasons for paranormal slowtivity:
- javascript
- large image files
- more than 2 location fields on the homepage (sometimes it can be 2 if they have the neighborhood or subdivision field. They would need to set a default in the first location field to shorten the second location field's list)
- number of video players
You might need to tell them that if they want their site to load faster, they will need to make sacrifices.
If they really get hung up on the speed report, you can explain that Website Speed Reports like this are generally geared toward simple static web pages, not an interactive site like Real Geeks. (because we make awesome sites yo)
